Convent Church

The convent, gymnasium, elementary school and church of the Kalocsa School Sisters named after Our Lady of Kalocsa stand on the square north of the Cathedral.

The building complex was built by Archbishop József Kunszt of Kalocsa for the Poor School Sisters of Kalocsa, named after Our Lady of Kalocsa, in 1859-1860, for a convent and a girls' school. It was extended by Cardinal Archbishop Lajos Haynald in 1890. The second floor of the Asztrik Square parts of the building was built by Archbishop Gyula Városy in 1911.
